You may recall that when we caught up with ACA's champion parathlete Matthew Lack here, last November he listed his goals for the 2009-10 season. It's typical of this determined eighteen-year-old that little more than three months later he's already ticked off several of them.

He's just returned from an outstanding campaign in Australia, where he set two Under-20 world records in the 800m and 1500m, and set a New Zealand Under-19 record for 400m.

Matthew also successfully defended his title in the Oz Day Junior 10k, held at The Rocks, Sydney on 26 January (Australia Day), winning in a time of 24m 24s, with Australians Nathan Arkley (25m 05s) and Sam Carter (25m 23s) filling the minor placings.

Next up are the New Zealand Track & Field Championships in March, before Matthew returns to the United States for the Cedartown 5km and Peachtree 10km events in June & July.
